Don’t tell Windham’s mother…

WHAT HE FOUND IN HIS SHOE.  Cindy told them, I told them, and Ignacio told them that scorpions were in Rehu.  Windham started to put his foot in his shoe yesterday morning.  His dad asked him to check his shoe.  Windham pulled his already partially inserted foot out of his  shoe AND got bug eyed when the scorpion hit the floor.  Someone stepped on it and you can see the critter here.

The playground is completed and the patio out the back door was completed.  And it has RAINED every day since this team has been here.  Guatemalan’s are going to send them back if this continues.

We are back at home and retooling for the gutter project at a local school.  Have lots to do so will be a few days before I give a formal report on this team.  Suffice it to say at this time they are a joy to work with and another hard working crew that will leave many blessings behind.

“Windham’s Mother” is laughing really loudly right now! Some past words she has said about listening are going through her head…

Otherwise, I’m glad to hear that things are going so well. Please tell Russ that I’m sorry we missed his call. Summer Grace and I were completely engrossed in “The King and I” and just didn’t hear the phone! Also tell Windham that I’m glad he still has healthy toes.

Thank you all so much for the playground, and so sorry to hear about the scorpion. My husband Ricardo got one on his underware, after he showered and put his clothes on, he was bitten twice from that little one. Of course it wasn’t funny for him, but it sure was for all the people around him, you should had seen him take of everything in front of everybody. He survived, (I mean Ricardo, not the scorpion). this was 5 years ago.
Blessings from the DAR family to all of you.

I will share this story with Windham and the others. They will get a laugh at Ricardo’s expense. The team did very well and were as blessed as they were a blessing. Talk to you soon.
